I will define myself… and mine is the only definition that matters.
I will value the family and friendships that I have, while remaining open to new people and connections entering my circle.
I will be honest with myself, recognizing strengths and weaknesses.
I will be open to the ideas and realities of other people, keeping in mind that everyone’s reality is different.
I will seek truth above convenience, offer hugs instead of hostilities, and try to leave people and places better off than when I found them.
I will find myself in backcountry forests. When my stress levels rise, and my mind needs to clear, I’ll walk into the woods to do the clearing.
I will trust my intuition, knowing that the little voice is looking out for my best interests.
I will do the things that bring me joy. Not the things I think are fun, but the writing, the painting, the music, the things that make my heart beat and emotions flow, I will do those things.
I will pursue happiness. In alleyway murals, barking dogs, smiling babies, and short conversations with strangers… I will see the beauty in life.
